Mark has been working in the arboriculture industry for 15 years. He has been the instructor of the practical climbing program for 1st year apprentices since the year 2000 and a chainsaw instructor for the past 2 years at Humber College. Mark is an ISA Certified Arborist and has achieved all the Technician Certification designations from Arboriculture Canada (Tree Climbing, Chainsaw Operator, Rigger, Tree Risk Assessor, Rescue, Hazard & Danger Tree Faller). Mark has a unique ability in the skill of tree climbing, having competed in the Ontario TCCs since 1999. He has won several medals for individual events and in 2008 he finished 2nd overall in Owen Sound, ON.
When asked what his favorite job is Mark replied that it is instructing people on how to achieve a goal or task that will make their job safer, easier or more efficient. The satisfaction you get from helping someone learn to do their job better is very rewarding.
Mark was a production climber in the Toronto area for 15 years and moved to the country to enjoy the nature with his wife, Andrea and their children, Liam, Owen and Caitlin.
