About Me
Andrew Hordyk is an instructor with Arboriculture Canada Training & Education Ltd. He has over 10 years experience in the tree care industry and remains current and up to date with tree care practices through his attendance and affiliation at industry conferences and events around the world every year. He currently is President of Arborwood Tree Service Inc., a tree service focusing on safety, integrity and professionalism in the Greater Toronto Area.
Previous Experience & Qualifications
  • Over 10 years experience in the tree care industry, working for two large private tree companies in Canada and for the last five years managing Arborwood Tree Service Inc.
  • Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Township of West Lincoln 2002 – present
  • Active Tree Climbing Competitor 1994-2004 in the Ontario ISA ) International Society of Arboriculture) Chapter events.
  • Work Climb Judge 2001 – 2004 at the ISA International Tree Climbing Competition
  • Presently on the committee for the International Tree Climbing Competition (ITCC) as Head Judge for the Work Climb event.
  • ISA Certified Arborist #PR-0218 since 1995 and Professional Member since 1999
  • Landscape Gardener Two year Apprenticeship, Sheridan College completed 1994
  • Graduate of the Business Administration Program at Sheridan College, Marketing Major 1992
  • Completed one year of Arborist Apprenticeship program, Humber College 1998
  • Seasonal instructor at Humber College.
