Stationary Rope Technique (SRT)
2-Day Module
This two day course provides participants with training in the use of specialized equipment and techniques used to employ SRT (Stationary Rope Technique) to access and get work positioning in trees. The safe work procedures for the ISC Rope Wrench and Petzl Rig are demonstrated and practiced in this class as well as a variety of ascent systems. Participants will gain an understanding of the advantages and limitations of various SRT rope access and work positioning systems while maintaining, and following safe work practices and legislation pertaining to fall protection. Educating participants in reactive forces of anchor points, re-directs and tie-off methods for these rope access systems completes this very informative course.

Eligibility Recommendations: Eligibility Recommendations: In addition to arborists this course is useful for biologists, seed collectors, canopy researchers, recreational tree climbers and anyone who climbs trees of any size. Either first time climbers or experienced climbers will benefit from this program.
