Structural Tree Support Systems
1-day Module
Have you cabled or braced a tree?

Have you heard about rope style non-invasive support systems?

In Structural Tree Support Systems, you will learn about traditional and modern equipment and techniques related to providing structural support to trees. Emphasis is placed on evaluating trees structurally and determining appropriate support systems based on tree value, condition, and legal liability implications. Expert coaching provides you with an understanding of the effects of the forces of wind and gravity on a tree, and its biological and mechanical response to these stimuli. You will also learn how to install a non-invasive, dynamic tree support system.

Eligibility Recommendations: Tree workers, landscapers, nursery staff, golf course staff and gardeners of any level of experience and knowledge.
