Ken began working in the arborist industry in 1998 for a well known private tree care company in Ontario. He loved the work so much that he enrolled in the Humber College Arborist Apprenticeship program and graduated in 2001. He worked for numerous tree care companies and in 2006 took a position with the City of Cambridge. Over the years, Ken has taken the following Arboriculture Canada courses;
• Emergency Readiness & High Angle Rescue

• Technical Tree Falling & Cutting
• Arborist Technical Rigging
• Hazard & Danger Tree Cutting & Falling
• Tree Appraisal Qualification
Ken enrolled in the Arboriculture Canada – Chainsaw Train the Trainer program in 2016. He felt inspired to begin to expand his horizons by moving into training, and signed on with Arboriculture Canada as an assistant trainer in 2017.
Ken has been a Certified Arborist with ISA since 2005. He is married with 3 beautiful children, and is very active in his community and gives back by coaching both his son’s hockey team and a local basketball team. He is active and enjoys working out, running and climbing trees.
Ken loves arboriculture because he feels connected to the trees. He wants to train to use his knowledge and the things he has learned to help other arborists, keep them safer and inspire them to have the same love of the industry as he has.
