Rigging Matters - Webinar

Length

1 Day - Online - Dec 9th, 2026 @ (9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. CST) Central Time Zone $100 CAD - Per Registrant

Description

Featuring presentations from Dr. Brian Kane, Dr. Matt Follett, Mark Bridge, and Neil Hvenegaard, Rigging Matters will provide participants with a range of perspectives from across the industry. Each presenter will deliver a focused 45-minute session followed by a 15-minute live Q&A, allowing participants to explore topics in greater depth and engage directly with the speakers.

Rigging Matters is a live online professional development event bringing together experienced arborists, educators, researchers, and industry practitioners to explore the practical realities of modern arborist rigging.

The webinar is designed to create space for technical knowledge, field experience, lessons learned, and emerging approaches that may not always make their way into mainstream arboriculture forums. Presentations will focus on real-world rigging operations and the decisions, systems, techniques, equipment, and experiences that influence how this work is planned and performed.

Further Details...

The live online format supports detailed technical discussion, multimedia demonstrations, case studies, field examples, and open conversation between presenters and participants. Topics may examine any aspect of arborist rigging, with an emphasis on practical, experience-based information relevant to working arborists.

Rigging Matters is intended for arborists, crew leaders, trainers, supervisors, municipal forestry personnel, contractors, and other industry professionals interested in expanding their understanding of rigging practices and learning from the experiences of others across the profession.

Participants will gain exposure to different approaches, experiences, and technical perspectives that can inform safer, more deliberate, and more effective rigging operations.

Testimonials

I thoroughly enjoyed the Train the Trainer program. The information presented and the learning techniques were brought forward in a challenging, fun way. The course required us to step out of our comfort zone, but the rewards were fabulous. I would recommend this course for several reasons.

I learned about myself and the power of collective energy. I look forward to serving in this platoon but mostly I feel honored to have spent this past week with seven of the coolest trainers I've ever met.
