Have you ever been unsure about the stability of a tree prior to beginning work on it?

Would you like to expand your ability to identify risks in trees for both your customers and your workforce?

This course is designed to improve worker safety and train participants in the skills that allow them to estimate the stability of trees structurally by integrating biological, environmental and work risk factors. Tree biology, physiology and how trees interact with their environment (tree dynamics) will provide the basis for understanding how to examine trees critically from a structural failure perspective. Training and practice in field methods of work risk analysis, load testing and pull testing trees to determine strength of temporary anchors and examining root stability prior to commencing work is a major focus of this course.

Tree Dynamics and Integrated Risk Assessment is unique in that you will learn typical risk assessment protocols consultants use; and blend these protocols with other techniques that evaluate risk factors tree workers and evaluators must face when preparing to work in trees. Many past students have said that they will never look at a tree the same way after attending this course.

Eligibility Recommendations: Tree workers, risk assessors, estimators, consultants of any level of experience.
